Ingredients (Makes 4 Lava Cakes):
- ½ cup dark chocolate (chopped or chocolate chips)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- Butter & flour (for greasing ramekins)
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Ramekins
- Grease 4 small ramekins (or cupcake molds) with butter and lightly dust with flour. This prevents sticking.
Step 2: Melt Chocolate & Butter
- In a heatproof bowl, melt chocolate and butter together using a double boiler or microwave (in 20-second intervals). Stir until smooth.
Step 3: Mix the Batter
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until fluffy.
- Add the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
- Gently fold in the flour until just combined (do not overmix).
